Yo!
Before I go to the main point of this journal, I want to settle few things:
First of all, thank you all for the 8.000 pageviews! I'm so happyyy~! *hugs everyone*
Second, the Guilty Gear OC ver 1.2 comes on Christmas. I wanted it to be done for this week, but honestly, the damn teachers at my university force us to write absurd essays, as if we had nothing to do instead, really...
And now the main idea.
I'm a person, who likes to read, especially everything connected to my interests. Lately, I'm seriously addicted in online manga O_O
But the sad thing is... No one around my environment reads manga, so if I read one, I have no one to chat about it... and I want so badly to share my feelings about them TT.TT Why? Because it's fun, and gives you that nice feeling
Lately I spoke with my roommate about animes, about titles like "One Piece" and "Dragon Ball" I enjoyed the time, and we even want to make a "marathon weekend with Dragon Ball" heheh XD
So, just for pure enjoy and excitement, I want to present you some really delicious titles, that won my heart, moved to tears and make me laugh whenever I read them XD
1. Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro - a demon that eat mysteries, and a highschool girl with neverending appetite, heheh, on the first place in my ranking. My first impression was: "that guy who drawed this manga is crappy" That's true - don't expect anything special, the drawings are average (even I could do it better), but... BUT... that everything becomes unimportant, after you read the first 10 chapters... O_O
And I swear, with the time the characters become more and more interesting, bah, even BEAUTIFUL! I couldn't stop to read! The story is brilliant! And I must admit it, my second thought was: "I underestimated the artist, he's a genius! *3* I'm really happy I was able to read that manga. I love the characters, I feel attached to them, and if one of them dies, I feel like I'd lose someone important to me TT.TT I'm serious. I cried like a baby, at the end of the "Electronic Person HAL case", and by reading the chapter 180 and 196. Caution: Chapter 180 is REALLY SHOCKING! Took my breath for a while, and again, a pool of tears. And that means, the author done his job as best he could. Thumbs up for him, and I hope, he'll surprise me with another brilliant title *^_^*
2. Defense Demon - another crazy demon, this time as a... defense attorney O_O Found that manga just by accident... (like all of them
) but it won my heart just by looking at the cover page XD And further reading just confirmed my entushiasm. Balanced - funny yet serious, but the best dish here are the characters, from the body to mimic - to me: perfect XD Especially the mimic, and the jokes - epic - so as the ideas in this title, like definition of a "personal hell" and even the weapon of the main character (ever saw a "Pen Sword"?) XD A must read to every demon fan
3. Darren Shan: Cirque Du Freak - probably THE BEST TITLE E-V-E-R! I bow to the artist, Oh, you almighty! *bows 100 times* The manga is an adaptation of the book versions of Darren Shan Series. The climax, the characters, THE PLOT just everything here is AWESOME! And I want MOAR! But sadly, I got only two volumes out of 12 O_O I dunno why, but the scanlations are available just to chapter 6... and there were no updates for the whole year... ARGH! Well, anyway... I hope the story about a boy, who, to save his friend turned into a VAMPIRE, will continue sooner or later. I, to sate my hunger for more, downloaded me eBook version of that story, and must say, comparing the book with manga, both titles are superb. Because the two titles are "the-same-but-not-the-same" What I mean - the book gives you scenes, that aren't available in the manga, and reverse. Absolutely must read for all horror and vampire fans XD And freaks XD
4. 07 Ghost - the main character, a boy, who is searching for his lost memories, supported by... the church and seven mighty ghosts. But it's not a normal environment here - it plays (I would say) in a different world... Everything here - from the places, followed by characters to the tools and devices they use - one word: unusual. The ides here are just brilliant, and emotional as well! Another title, that forced me to cry in sad moments or let me laugh like insane (wanna see a sexy AND perverted bishop?
) The two artist's sometimes mess up with the drawings, mostly at fighting scenes. Sometimes you need to look very carefully, what happens in each panel, and some scanlations just kill the climax of the story, yet it's not that important. If, by reading it, someone will think "what am I really living for?" that means, the title will stay very long in your memory ^^
5. Fullmetal Alchemist - erm... I think it's no need to introduce that title... It's so famous, I doubt there's someone, who never even heard that title... If you want to know - the death of Maes Hughes moved me to tears, he was my beloved chara, and then Envy just killed him like that... ARGH!!! Bring him baaack! *sniff* Result: I couldn't eat for 2 days... (I'm too emotional...) I enjoyed also every encounter with "The Crimson Alchemist". And the Ishvar war stay in my mind forever...
I hope some of you know at least one of the titles here... When not, I say read them! They're worth your time! They're really unique! And all available at onemanga.com FOR FREE!
